Cursor released Remote Agents — a feature that lets developers trigger Cursor's coding agents from any device, including mobile. Agents run on Cursor's cloud, push commits to your branches, and report status back to your phone.
First major coding tool to ship a true mobile-aware agent loop. Combined with the SpaceX deal pending, this is Cursor doubling down on differentiated UX before any potential xAI Composer integration.
Update Cursor to 0.50+. Settings → Features → Remote Agents → enable. Authenticate the Cursor mobile app and you can dispatch agents from anywhere.
The remote agent flow is the same loop as Background Agent — describe a task, the agent runs tests and pushes a branch — but now triggerable from a phone. For founders running multiple projects, this turns commute time and waiting rooms into productive code execution windows.
