Claude Mythos 5 Expanded to 15 Countries via Project Glasswing
Same day as Fable 5 launch, Anthropic confirmed Claude Mythos 5 access has expanded to hundreds of organizations across 15 countries. Restricted to cyberdefense and critical infrastructure operators. Same underlying model as Fable 5 but with safety classifiers lifted in approved domains.
The dual release of Fable 5 (public) + Mythos 5 (restricted) is Anthropic's new template for shipping frontier models. Acknowledges that some capabilities are too sensitive for general release but too valuable to hold back from defenders. Expected to become the industry pattern going forward.
Mythos 5 access is application-only via anthropic.com/glasswing. Cyberdefense teams, critical infrastructure operators, and approved biology researchers can apply. Trusted access expansion is gradual.
The Glasswing program represents a new model for capability gating — neither full open release nor closed-lab restriction, but a structured trusted access tier. ExploitBench data shows Mythos 5 at significantly higher capability than Fable 5 on offensive security tasks (the safeguard difference being the entire reason for restricted access).
